EASA also has a number of specialised committees, working groups and taskforces: - the Self-Regulatory Committee, which serves as a discussion forum for national SROs on the technical aspects of advertising standards; it also develops detailed best practice guidance notes (EASA coordinator: Sibylle Stanciu);
- the Media Committee, which addresses the regulatory challenges posed by new technologies, new advertising techniques and new media (EASA coordinator: Sibylle Stanciu);
- the Sustainability Task Force, which provides a platform for discussion, where advertising industry members as well as representatives of self-regulatory organisations can discuss the issue of (environmental) sustainability within advertising content (EASA coordinator: Renée Brautigam);
- the Central & Eastern European Working Group, which assists the Central & Eastern European SROs in their handling of specific problems and issues that are unique to their countries (EASA coordinator: Irina Little);
- the Education Action Group, which provides input based on practical experience and acts as a driving force for the EASA education modules (EASA coordinator: Irina Little);
- the Promotion and Communications Taskforce, which is responsible for increasing EASA’s presence at national and European level (EASA coordinator: Renée Brautigam);
- the Rogue Trader Prevention Taskforce, which decides on policy and action against the activities of rogue traders (EASA coordinator: Sibylle Stanciu).
