Statutory Officers

EASA has four statutory officers: the Chairman, two Vice-Chairmen and the Treasurer. For the period of 2009 – 2011 these positions are taken up by:

Chairman: Ildiko Fazekas - ORT, Hungary

IFazekasIldiko Fazekas has been working with advertising ever since Hungary opened up to advertising in 1989. She was with the Hungarian Advertising Association since the very beginning and became a Member of the Board in 1996 as well as the Vice President. She has advised several associations especially in the field of direct marketing and sports marketing. In 1998 Ms Fazekas became the Secretary General of the Hungarian self-regulatory organisation Önszabályozó Reklám Testület (ÖRT).

Industry Vice Chairman: Angela Mills Wade - EPC

AngelaMillsSince 1991 Angela Mills Wade has been the Executive Director of the European Publishers' Council (EPC), a high level lobby group of Chairmen and Chief Executives of major European media corporations whose business interests include newspapers, magazines, journals, books, database and internet publishing as well as in many cases television and radio broadcasting. Angela currently holds a number of industry and public appointments including Member of the UK Government’s Legal Deposit Advisory Panel, Director and Member of the Project Board of ACAP (Automated Content Access Protocol), Chairman of the Media Committee of the European Advertising Standards Alliance, Member of the European Commission’s Expert Group on Media Literacy and Vice Chairman of the News Media Coalition.

Treasurer: Dominic Lyle - EACA 

DLyleDominic Lyle is the Director-General of EACA, the European Association of Communications Agencies, which represents the interests of commercial communications agencies in Europe. He was appointed to EACA in May 2002, having previously spent 25 years in the communications business. Since joining EACA, he has co-ordinated major initiatives for the European agencies in areas such as Sustainable Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, obesity, alcoholic beverages, advertising to children, self-regulation and effective advertising awards.
