Code

The Hungarian Code of Advertising Ethics, covers advertising in broadcast and nonbroadcast media.

Complaints handling

Complaints must be submitted in writing, with an explanation of the grounds for the complaint and a description or example of the advertisement alleged to be in breach of the Code. Complaints can be sent by e-mail and the ÖRT website also has an online complaint form. All complaints are handled free of charge.

Copy advice/pre-clearance

Copy advice is provided free of charge to ÖRT members and nonmembers. The Ethical Ad Hoc Committee meets within a week of the receipt of a request for copy advice; a written opinion is produced within two days of the meeting. The ÖRT does not carry out pre-clearance.
