Complaints handling

The RÖK handles complaints from both competitors and consumers. Consumer complaints are handled free of charge, while competitors are charged a fee. Complaints must be in writing, specifying the article of Code which is alleged to have been breached and accompanied by details of the advertisement.

Copy advice/pre-clearance

The RÖK does not pre-clear advertisements. The Executive Board provides copy advice. It is non-binding on the advertiser and does not prevent the Board from upholding a subsequent complaint.
