Malcom Earnshaw (WFA) - Industry Vice-Chairman

Malcom Earnshaw

As ISBA Director General, Malcolm Earnshaw is effectively the voice – of the voice - of British advertisers. Malcolm is a highly experienced businessman and marketer, having worked for twenty years in senior UK and global marketing positions for Mars Inc. He was appointed Director General of ISBA in July 2000.

Even before taking up his position as Director General, Malcolm gained extensive knowledge of ISBA, its policies and activities in all areas, through his position as Vice-President for five years. Before becoming ISBA Vice-President he was Chairman of the Executive Committee and a leading member of the ISBA-ITC liaison Committee. Malcolm has a particularly strong awareness of the major European and global issues affecting advertisers having been a President of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA).

As ISBA Director General, Malcolm manages the ISBA secretariat and oversees all work carried out by ISBA on behalf of its members. The secretariat implements ISBA policy decisions set by its Council along strategic guidelines determined by its Executive Committee. Malcolm is also ISBA’s primary spokesman on major issues.

Malcolm has a key representative role with the Advertising Association and other industry committees. He also represents the interests of British advertisers on the global stage through the World Federation of Advertisers and through his position on the board of the European Advertising Standards Alliance.
