On November 7th, 2017, Rada Reklamy hosted the inaugural meeting of the Self-Regulatory Forum. The meeting took place in Warsaw and was attended by representatives of dozens of trade organizations representing the largest sectors of the Polish economy, as well as representatives of the regulators. EASA was represented by the Director General, Lucas Boudet. The purpose of the Forum was to work and agree on the need to introduce common ethical standards in marketing communications and public relations, in order to better protect consumers, especially children and young people, from inappropriate content in advertising and other marketing activities. At the end of the meeting, a letter of intent was signed, with the signatories agreeing on the basic principles of common standards and committing themselves to further development, including the implementation of individual ethical codes.
