This Guide aims to explain what advertising self-regulation is, what
the essential elements of a self-regulatory organisation (SRO) are and
how to set about putting a system in place. For those countries where
systems are already established, the Guide may well provide a useful
check list. For other countries, where there is the will on the part of
the industry to set up self-regulatory systems, the Guide will be
essential reading; it is packed with explanations and advice
The European Advertising Standards Alliance acknowledges the
Amsterdam Group's assistance in publishing the first edition's of the
Guide.
