New edition of the EASA Blue Book - released September 2007

In September EASA released the latest edition of the Blue Book - Advertising self-regulation in Europe.
Published tri-annually, the Blue Book is the only comprehensive guide to the self-regulatory and legislative rules governing advertising  across Europe. It is a must-have publication for all advertising practitioners, researchers and regulators.

EASA is 15!

In 2007 EASA celebrates its 15th anniversary as the coordinating body for European advertising self-regulation. EASA has produced a publication which looks back over the last 15 years, from EASA's establishment in 1992, to its development into    the single voice of European advertising self-regulation representing self-regulatory organisations across Europe and beyond as well as the advertising industry - advertisers, agencies and the various forms of media.

EASA 2006 Review

Released at the EASA April 2007 AGM, the 2005 Review highlights EASA's activities over the last year.  It outlines the implementation of the EASA Self-Regulation Charter, which sets out the commitments made by the advertising industry to strengthen and extend advertising self-regulation across the Single Market, particularly in establishing self-regulatory systems in the new EU member states.  It also outlines EASA’s participation in a specific Advertising Roundtable with DG Sanco of the European Commission and selected NGOs to discuss better understanding and recognition of effective advertising self-regulation.  Download the Review here.

The EASA Guide to setting up an Self-Regulatory Organisation (SRO)

Released early 2008, this edition is an update of the last guide that came out in 1997. The guide aims at giving practical information to advertising industry representatives willing to set up a self-regulatory system.

Trends in advertising complaints and copy advice (2004)

EASA worked closely with its SRO members in 2005 to gather statistics on trends in advertising complaints and copy advice, the results of which can be found in the ‘EASA Trends in complaints and copy advice’.  The report categorises the 53,193 complaints handled by SROs across Europe in 2004 according to issue, product/service, medium etc. Click here to download the report.
