Advertising self-regulatory body established in Serbia

09 May 2019

The newly-established National Association for Ethical Advertising Standards (NAESO) marks the introduction of advertising self-regulation in Serbia. This new body will work in partnership with all Serbian stakeholders in the media market, state institutions, professional associations and international organizations, to promote ethical standards in advertising and marketing communications.

Commenting on the news, Vanda Kučera, coordinator of the NAESO Working Group, said “Establishing a self-regulating body is an important step in regulating relationships in the field of marketing communications and advertising.

“Continuous communication with colleagues from different European countries and partners from the sector made it possible for the idea of creating this body to mature and to be realized now.”

The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) welcomes NAESO into the European self regulatory family. EASA has worked closely with NAESO during its formative period and will continue to do so in its future development and activities.
