EASA’s Romanian member RAC celebrates its 20th anniversary

On 20 September, EASA’s Romanian member Romanian Advertising Concil (Consiliul Roman pentru Publicitate) celebrated its 20th anniversary creating and raising advertising standards. Stéphane Martin, EASA’s Chairman, congratulated RAC with a keynote speech. The event was also attended by EASA’s Director General Lucas Boudet, local advertising industry stakeholders and others. Rada Reklamy launches a "Charter for the Protection of Children in Advertising"

EASA's member Rada Reklamy has launched a new "Charter for the Protection of Children in Advertising". On 11 September, EASA’s Director General Lucas Boudet attended the launch event together with Rada Reklamy President Agnieszka Kępińska - Sadowska and Director General Piotr Kwiecień. On this occasion, Lucas Boudet emphasized that “an asset of advertising self-regulation is its ability to respond to societal changes. It is locally rooted at national level with self-regulatory organisations operating close to consumers and regulators, it can efficiently address their concerns.

ICC appoints Head of EU Affairs in Brussels

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has announced the appointment of Dr Tom Voege as Head of EU Affairs.

An internationally recognised expert, he is a senior public policy and government affairs professional with 18 years of experience in intergovernmental organisations (United Nations and OECD), management and strategy consulting (EADS/AIRBUS Group), academia and research institutes (University of Southampton and K.U. Leuven).

EASA Announces Best Practice Awards 2019 Jury

The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) is delighted to announce the jury for its Best Practice Awards 2019!

The EASA Best Practice awards are organised to highlight the work that self-regulatory organisations have done to develop best practices and raise the profile of self-regulation. The Awards are also intended to promote the advertising self-regulatory system overall. This year’s Awards ceremony will take place at EASA’s Gala Dinner in Stockholm during its Biannual Meetings in October.
