A new chapter begins for EASA

26 May 2026

Following its recent Biannual Meetings held in Milan on 21 May, EASA is pleased to announce the election of a new Board of Directors, bringing together a strong and diverse group of leaders from across self-regulation and the wider advertising ecosystem.

To steer the organisation over the next two years, the Board has appointed a new Executive Committee and renewed its trust in the current Executive Office. Orla Twomey (Chief Executive at the Advertising Standards Authority Ireland) continues as EASA Chair, with Zsolt Gerendi (Secretary General of Önszabályozó Reklám Testület) and Konrad Shek (Public Policy and Regulation Director at the Advertising Association/AIG) as EASA Vice-Chairs, and Conor Murray (Director, Regulatory and Public Affairs) as EASA Treasurer.

This leadership reflects the breadth of EASA’s network and the strength of its collective ambition: to ensure that advertising self-regulation in Europe remains credible, effective, and future-ready. At a time when trust in advertising is more critical than ever, the Board and Executive Committee will play a key role in shaping a strong, modern, and impactful self-regulatory system. Their leadership will guide EASA’s strategic priorities, strengthen cooperation across stakeholders, and reinforce trust in responsible advertising.

EASA Chair, Orla Twomey, said: “At a time of rapid transformation, this Board brings the leadership and vision needed to strengthen trust in advertising and to ensure that self-regulation continues to deliver for society. Self-regulation works when it evolves and we are ready to lead that evolution. EASA has always been about collaboration. This new Board embodies that spirit, and I look forward to what we will achieve together.

Warm congratulations to all newly elected and re-elected Board/Executive Committee members, and sincere thanks to those who have completed their mandate for their invaluable contribution.
