Orla Twomey serves as the Vice-Chairwoman of EASA and a member of the EASA Executive Committee and Board. She is Chief Executive of the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland (ASAI) and has held this role since January 2016. Prior to that, she served in a number of roles in the ASAI including that of the Assistant Chief Executive between 2004 and 2015.
Orla leads corporate strategy and policy, executing multi-faceted programmes at national and European level, particularly those associated with exponential growth in digital marketing. The ASAI is very active within a number of sectors, including influencer marketing, and continues its engagement in a bid to ensure the highest possible standards of advertising in Ireland, regardless of the medium involved.
Orla has also served as Chair of the EASA’s Self-Regulatory Committee and has served on varied Working Groups including Gambling and Online Behavioural Advertising. She was also a member of the Board of Ringsend and District Credit Union between 2012 and 2015.
Orla has a first class honours Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) degree, with a specialisation in Marketing, from the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), awarded by the National University of Ireland.
