EASA Autumn Biannual Meetings 2023

Last week, the EASA Autumn Biannual Meetings 2023, hosted by SEE, took place in Athens.
The first day has been full of engaging and topical sessions. Antonis Kocheilas, Global CEO of Ogilvy Advertising, joined us to discuss why brand should prioritise impact, and the path to follow to achieve this goal. Building up on this insightful presentation, our members exchanged their perspectives during the second edition of the Ad Responsability Roundtable, which focused on the relationship between advertising and sustainability.
We also had the opportunity to hear more about the European Economic and Social Committee report ‘Measures to reduce child obesity’ with Josep Puxeu Rocamora, linking to the work advertising self-regulation is doing in ensuring that children are protected from advertising of products that are deemed unsuitable, such as HFSS food.
The second day, we wrapped up our meetings with the Country of Origin informal discussion, and a great session on how to ensure responsible influencer marketing. The sessions was joined virtually by Marta Sanaugustin, who presented the work carried out by the European Commission in the field, and by the speakers Catalina Goanta, Scott Guthrie, Mohamed Mansouri, Celine Mouquet, Penelope Anastasopolou and Otto van der Harst, who brilliantly exchanged their ideas.
