EASA Autumn Biannual Meetings 2024 | London, 16-18 October

We are looking forward to the EASA Autumn Biannual Meetings in London, hosted by the Advertising Standards Authority UK. We will start on Wednesday, October 16, with a joint EASA&EDAA dinner at Browns Covent Garden. The sessions of Thursday, October 17, and Friday, October 18, will take place at CMS London, while the Gala Dinner on Thursday 17 will be held at the House of Lords. The Gala Dinner will be preceded by drinks during a boat trip on the Thames. On Friday the Meetings will conclude with social activities in the afternoon: the immersive experience Gunpowder plot, followed by a drink at The Coppa Club.

Updates will be communicated in due course. Please check regularly this website page and keep an eye on your inbox; Agendas of different sessions will be uploaded here. Meeting papers (for members only) will be uploaded closer to the starting date and you will be notified via email.

On Wednesday 16, the EDAA summit will also take place in London at the Royal Houseguards Hotel. We encourage you to not miss this opportunity and attend – you can register here.

    In this session, our members will learn more about the latest version of the ICC Code, and its key elements

  • Drinks on Thames + Gala Dinner @ House of Lords | 18.00 – 22.30
    The Gala Dinner will be preceded by drinks on the river Thames by boat, taking in the London sights. We will leave from Tower Millennium Pier at 18:15 (embarkation promptly at 18:00) and arrive at Westminster Pier at 19:15 to disembark and make our way to the House of Lords for 19:30 to allow time for security checks (please bring your ID) and the Gala Dinner will commence at 20:00. During the Gala Dinner, the Best Practice Awards ceremony will also take place. 
    Dinner is at the guest’s own expense.

Friday, 18 October

  • Policy session | CMS London | 9.45 – 11.15
    This session offers the chance to learn about two new reports likely to influence policy in the coming years. The first is the final outcome of the digital fairness fitness check on EU consumer law, launched by DG Just two and a half years ago, presented by Egelyn Braun, Team Leader Digital & Unfair Commercial Practices, DG Just. The second is a report by the European Audiovisual Observatory for DG Connect on influencer marketing, which could affect future policies, including the 2026 AVMSD review, and will be presented by Eric Munch, Legal Analyst, European Audiovisual Observatory.

    An interactive session, where members will have the opportunity to delve into topical issues.
  • Lunch | CMS London | 13.00 – 14.00
  • Social activities | Gunpowder Plot: The Immersive Experience | 14.00 – 16.30 (approx. time – might finish at 17.00 max.)
    The Gunpowder Plot takes place in a purpose-designed space in Tower Vaults at the Tower of London UNESCO World Heritage site.
    The experience is created and curated in partnership with the Tower of London and Historic Royal Palaces with historically accurate costumes, sets, locations and scents, and virtual reality scenes of London in 1605, where the Plot took place. The activity combines live theatre (actors, movie-scale sets, and special effects) together with the latest digital technology (virtual reality, projection mapping and holograms). Please note that this activity might not be suitable for people with reduced mobility, or sensitivity to strobe lights. You can find more information on the official website, in the FAQs section. After the social activities, there will be drinks until 18.30 at Coppa Club, for those who can stay.
