AdEthics: EASA Launches Rebranded Programme for Responsible Influencer Marketing

03 July 2025

PRESS RELEASE

The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) is proud to announce the launch of AdEthics, a rebranding of its Influencer Marketing Standards Training (IMST) programme. This renewed initiative aims to equip influencers and content creators across Europe with the knowledge and tools to uphold high standards of advertising transparency and responsibility.

AdEthics combines two complementary pillars: a Training, which is a fast, accessible, and affordable online course on responsible advertising practices, and a Certification, which ensures responsible communication through ongoing monitoring of the creators’ published content. Together, they form a comprehensive framework to assess, educate, and reinforce ethical marketing communications aligned with self-regulatory standards and legislation.

EASA’s Director General Ludovic Basset commented: “AdEthics reflects the commitment of Europe’s self-regulatory organisations to uphold responsible influencer marketing. By combining training with ongoing certification, our network ensures that content creators are not only informed about advertising standards but are also supported in applying them consistently – building a healthier digital advertising ecosystem that benefits consumers, brands, and creators alike.”

AdEthics is currently implemented in seven countries, offering localised training to ensure creators understand the standards that apply in their markets. For more information about participating countries and to explore the programme, visit adethics.org.
