EASA speaks at third party events – March

In March, EASA had more opportunities to present its work at third-party events, presenting advertising self-regulation as a reliable solution to ensure ads are decent, truthful, and responsible.
EASA’s Director General, Lucas Boudet, joined our Portuguese SRO member, ARP – AUTO REGULAÇÃO PUBLICITÁRIA, in Lisbon, where the association presented the results of its monitoring exercise on influencer marketing in collaboration with the Universidade Lusófona. Lucas Boudet presented the European advertising self-regulation approach and related actions to ensure responsible influencer marketing.
Another good opportunity has been the Non-Alcoholic Beverage Strategies Conference 2024. EASA’s SR Development Manager Tudor Manda travelled to Barcelona to join the Conference’s panel discussion “Distinguishing between traditional alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the customer experience“ to discuss the applicable advertising SR rules for non-alcoholic alternative products, and the steps to be taken by brands to help ensure high level of responsibility and trust.
