EASA in Moscow for the National Advertising Forum

EASA’s Director General Lucas Boudet is in Moscow for the Advertising Forum where he has had  the opportunity to meet and exchange with numerous stakeholders involved on the SR initiative in Russia.

EASA had the opportunity to meet Andrey Kashevarov, Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia; Boris Eremin, World Board of Directors Member of IAA and President of its Russian chapter; Sergey Piskarev, Alexey Kovylov and Viatcheslav Chernyackhovskiy respectively, President, Chair of the commission on self-regulation and Adviser to the President at the Russian Association of Communication Agencies (AKAR); and Anastasia Shkarina, General Counsel, Unilever RUB.

Positive dialogues also took place with representatives of CIS countries (Commonwealth of Independent States) which demonstrated an interest in following Russia with regard to the implementation of an SR Scheme.

Lucas Boudet had the opportunity to address the audience to present EASA as well as the key components of and effective ad SR system.

Two MoUs were signed, one with the Russian SRO pilot project in St Petersburg (Association of Marketing Industry (AMI) “Advertising Council”) , represented by its founder M. Pilatov, which confirmed its will to join EASA as an Observer member and one with AKMA, the Association of Communication and Marketing Agencies of Belarus, represented by its Chairperson, Mrs. Alena Ustsinovich according to which EASA would provide expertise and support should the SR initiative in Belarus go forward.
