New head for two EASA members – EMMA and ENPA

Ilias Konteas has been appointed Executive Director of the European Newspaper Publishers’ Association (ENPA) and the European Magazine Media Association (EMMA), two of EASA’s members.

Following EASA’s Board meeting in Budapest and pending final approval by EASA’s General Assembly, Mr Konteas will be representing EMMA on EASA’s Board and Executive Committee and Joy de Looz-Corswarem will sit on EASA’s Board for ENPA. EASA is pleased to welcome Mr Konteas.

ENPA is the voice of the newspaper publishing industry in Europe. ENPA represents the interests of European newspaper and news media publishers working on all platforms, both print and digital. EMMA is a non-profit organisation based in Brussels, representing the interests of the different national associations of magazine media in Europe, as well as a number of corporate members.

Ilias Konteas recently joined as the new Executive Director of both Associations, heading a shared Secretariat. With an LLM in EU Law, Ilias Konteas joins from an impressive 15 years at Business Europe where he focused on Intellectual Property Issues.
